    Fundraise for Month of Mayhew

Mayhew is holding a month of fundraising fun in May to continue our vital, life-saving work to help abandoned, neglected and vulnerable cats and dogs, as well as owners in need, both in the UK and overseas.

During Month of Mayhew, you can be as creative as you like in how you fundraise for us; from holding a cake sale and adding a dog or cat-themed twist, to running a marathon to hosting a dinner party dressed all in purple (Mayhew’s colour, of course!).

Mayhew’s CEO, Caroline Yates, said: “The work we do just wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our supporters who choose to help us in whichever way they can. We can’t wait to see the different ways our supporters will be fundraising for us this month!

“All the money raised from Month of Mayhew will go towards us helping more dogs and cats escape a life of cruelty, neglect and abandonment in the UK and overseas.”

Follow these easy steps to take part:

    1) Pick a way to fundraise

Choose from one of our fun ideas below or come up with your own!

    2) Sign up for your free Month of Mayhew pack

We can send you everything you need to ensure your fundraising goes well, including lots more fundraising tips and ideas, banners, flags, balloons and a collection box.

    3) Make it Mayhew

Why not add to the fun by making your event dog or cat themed and ‘making it Mayhew’? You could wear cat or dog ear headbands or bake dog or cat shaped cakes – the options are endless! You could even make your colour-theme purple to fit in with our brand.

    4) Share your success!

We would love to see how you are getting on and you might even get a re-share on our social channels if you use the hashtag #MonthOfMayhew

Here are some suggestions as to what you could do to raise money for animals in need:

    • Bring your dog to work day
    • Take part in a challenge event such as a marathon, cycle, abseil or even a bungee jump
    • Animal-themed dress up day at school or work
    • Hold a bake sale
    • Host a dinner party dressed all in purple
    • Organise a pub quiz

You can also share your fundraising activities and events on social media using the hashtag #MonthOfMayhew

We receive no government funding and rely solely on the generosity of our supporters.
