Work Experience

Applications for work experience placements for 2017 are now closed.

Work experience is a vital part of education that gives an insight into working life, and can help determine what career path a person would like to follow. Please note we can only take on those ages 16 years or over.

We offer work experience placements throughout the year and we also accept placements from outside the UK. Previous students have enjoyed the supportive atmosphere and learnt not just about animal care but improved skills in teamwork and communication.

We offer placements in our cattery OR kennels for a 2 week period. When applying, please give details of any courses you are on and specific preferred dates of placement. Placements are limited and due to the nature of the work at The Mayhew they are allocated very quickly.
