Lucky

Lucky is a friendly, outgoing and cheerful chap, looking for a home where he can retire gracefully and enjoy the simple things in life! He enjoys his walks and meeting other dogs but can be a bit grumpy with some, so needs an owner who will understand his body language and guide him away when needed. Being an older boy, he is happy with shorter walks, with maybe a stop off at a café for a little pick me up before heading back to his home comforts! Lucky would love a home where he could snuggle up on a warm lap after a day of gentle activities. He will make a great little companion for the right match.

Other Notes

Lucky is an elderly dog who is looking for someone who has owned dogs before and ideally looking for an all adult home without visiting young children. He could potentially live with sensible teenagers of 16+ providing they have lived with dogs before and will give him the space he needs. He could potentially live with a dog confident cat after careful introduction. Lucky could live in a ground floor flat. It would be great if he had his own garden to potter about in but is not essential as he is toilet trained (although will need time to settle and may have the odd accident). Lucky has had dental treatment whilst with us, resulting in most of his teeth being removed. Due to this, he will need to be on a soft diet where he can ingest food without needing to chew. Lucky also has a history of flea allergic dermatitis and his tail is partially hairless. This is being kept under control with regular effective flea treatment. Lucky has been neutered, microchipped, had his first vaccination and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
