We Win the Petplan and ADCH Charity Team of the Year Award

We are delighted to announce that The Mayhew has won the Animal Charity Team of the Year in the 2016 Petplan and Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Animal Charity Awards.

Petplan and the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Charity Awards celebrate outstanding animal charities and not-for-profit organisations across the UK who go that extra mile to help rescue and rehome animals in need. Nominations are judged by an impartial and independent panel of key industry experts who have first-hand experience of working in the animal welfare sector and are able to use their expertise to judge who the truly outstanding teams and individuals are from the nominations received. So this is a tremendous accolade and recognition for our work both in the UK and overseas. We won out of 6000 nominations UK-wide and we also received a cheque for £1500 which will go towards helping more animals.

Last night the awards ceremony took place in Birmingham and our CEO, Caroline Yates, Animal Welfare Manager, Zoe Edwards, and Dog Adoption Officer, Lisa Guiney, were at the award finals to accept our award from Chris Packham and David Simpson who is the Chair of Petplan Charitable Trust.

We would like to thank everybody who nominated us for this award, we are truly grateful for your support to us. We can’t do what we do for animals and pet owners without you. You can also see a video about us here.
