Mayor of Brent Lesley Jones adopts a cat from The Mayhew

The Mayor of Brent, Lesley Jones, has adopted her third cat from The Mayhew. The Mayor took a huge shine to Mina, a 2 years old Persian, who looks like her favourite cartoon character, Garfield. Mina arrived at The Mayhew after she was no longer wanted by her owner.

The Mayor,  who has lived in Brent for 25 years,  said:  “I immediately liked Mina as she is so sweet and cuddly and reminds me of Garfield. I’m really pleased to help The Mayhew which has a great reputation for rehoming cats. All my colleagues go to the home when they want to adopt a pet. It’s a wonderful place and everyone does a very good job.”
